When people visit our warehouses for the first time, they are always amazed at our size and scale. The amount of food moving through our facilities is incredible, thanks in large part to you, our volunteers!
This year we set a record, distributing enough food for more than 66.5 million meals! Depending on where you volunteer, you may only see a small portion of the food we share with our community.
- When you help pull orders for our hunger relief partners, you are dealing with our purchased food and donations from all the categories except the USDA.
- If you help us fill our grocery boxes for older adults, or if you help at our Nome Street distribution center, you’re working with food from the USDA.
- And if you help in reclamation, you’re working with our Grocery Rescue product, preparing it for the distribution floor and our partner’s orders.
We thought you might enjoy seeing how so many organizations come together to ensure our neighbors in need have access to food.
Here’s a snapshot of where our food came from in fiscal 2020.
