In the past month, we’ve had the honor or working with two Colorado companies we’d like to highlight. These folks have displayed their dedication to fighting hunger in our communities.
Many corporate partners incorporate matching gifts through their employee giving programs. This has been an incredible source of giving for FBR over the years. Encana recently reminded us just how powerful matching programs can be when they gifted us with a check for $37,000! The result of Encana’s corporate and individual generosity will provide 148,000 meals to Coloradans in need.
In addition to Encana, we were also gifted with a check for $20,000 (and counting) from our friends at Halliburton and many others in the gas and oil industry. Each year the industry here in Colorado gathers for a tailgating party/fundraiser. This year they met up on November 18th to celebrate our Denver Broncos and give back to FBR and two additional designated charity partners. The gifts continue to roll in from that amazing day of giving.
