The application process, which typically takes 4 weeks, is outlined below.

  • Completed applications are reviewed and assessed by Food Bank of the Rockies Programs team on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.
  • Some service areas may have adequate coverage with existing Hunger Relief Partners. In such case, your application will be placed on a “waitlist” and/or you will be contacted to discuss alternative options to assist the area with hunger-relief.
  • Food Bank of the Rockies may request your organization assist another Hunger Relief Partner in the same area or request your participation in assisting with unserved older adults and children in the area.
  • If your application is preliminarily approved a Food Bank of the Rockies staff member will schedule an appointment to visit your organization. This partner review will allow for Food Bank of the Rockies to inspect food storage/food prep areas, offer best practice suggestions on distribution processes, and discuss Food Bank of the Rockies procedures and compliance regulations.
  • If you receive final approval your organization will be onboarded as a Hunger Relief Partner during which you will complete the required annual trainings and attend an orientation.
