Our Mission

Igniting the Power of Community to Nourish People Facing Hunger

Food Bank of the Rockies is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region. That makes us uniquely suited to answer the enormous challenge of hunger. Since 1978, we’ve put the power of community to work for our neighbors in need through partnerships, programs, and support from people like you.

Our mission is to ignite the power of community to nourish people facing hunger. We show up for any person experiencing hunger knowing that food insecurity can impact any of us at various points throughout our lives. Today, we may be packing produce for someone facing an unforeseen health crisis, and tomorrow, we may be providing an emergency-relief bag to a family who made a harrowing journey from another country for a safer life. The circumstances may be different, but we never waver from our mission of igniting the power of community to nourish people facing hunger.

Making a Difference, Together

We distribute enough food for upwards of 185,000 meals every day. But for community members in need, we provide more than just food. We offer hope and open up a future. Because when you can’t provide for your family today, it’s hard to even think about tomorrow.

Our Programs

From Hunger Relief Partners to Mobile Pantries

We coordinate with more than 800 Hunger Relief Partners throughout Colorado and Wyoming, acting as a distribution hub for food, essentials, and logistical resources. We also operate our own direct programs, providing for our neighbors in need through Mobile PantriesFood for Kids programs, and home-delivery services for older adults. Everything we do is fueled by the support of our community and donors, and 96 cents of every dollar goes directly to distribution.
