Food Bank of the Rockies is excited to provide breakfast in their Totes of Hope® program. Thanks to a generous grant of $83,392 from the Albertsons Company Foundation, the food bank will be able to provide more than 58,000 breakfasts for children living with food insecurity. One in six Colorado kids doesn’t always know where they’ll find their next meal. This gift will give many children peace of mind and a healthy start to their day.
Totes of Hope® ensures children have food over the weekends when school meals aren’t available. Totes are distributed on Fridays in schools where the free and reduced lunch rates are higher than 50% and in most cases in the 90% range. Breakfast is important to ensure kids get a good start to their day. We’re grateful for this generous grant that will help children thrive – thank you!
