Helping the Hungry is Disc-y Business
Several years ago, these wonderful disc golfers set out to make a difference with their annual Ice Bowl, raising funds to help us feed our hungry neighbors. When members of their club came in to present their check, they noticed our Million Meals Club. This club recognizes supporters who have provided at least $250,000 or 1.28 million pounds of food over the lifetime of their relationship with FBR.
Always up for a little competition, the disc golfers decided to set a goal to provide a million meals through Food Bank of the Rockies. This year, they moved their marker 90,000 meals closer, bringing their total to 770,000 meals! Wow!
We were so delighted to host their group once again for a tour and check presentation. Giving back year after year really adds up and it won’t be long before we’ll hang their banner as a Million Meals Club member. We’re so grateful for their ongoing support!
